The Muslim community cannot flourish without fresh ideas and proper and new thinking about their youth. A Muslim community cannot perpetuate itself in a non-Islamic environment without providing proper education and Islamic training to the youth.

The Muslim community in North America is at crossroads. In the last three decades we have witnessed a tremendous growth of Masajid and Muslim organizations. However, despite this growth and development, no one has as yet set up a sound and comprehensive program for providing the Muslim youth and professionals with sound Islamic education and leadership development.

The next two decades are very important and crucial for the Muslim community in North America. In order to assure a sound future for the Muslim community in North America, it is imperative that the youth are educated and trained Islamically.

The dimensions of education have changed enormously from the days of the Maktab, the Madrasah, and the Jami'ah, and with them the dynamics. Today education is on the verge of another revolution, no less significant than the invention of paper and the printing press. The fast-evolving and ever-advancing Internet technology is promising to change the face and the pace of learning, as could never have been imagined before. The Muslim response to this challenge has been the founding of the Internet Islamic University (IIU) - an institution that strives to serve the needs of the Muslim youth in tomorrow's world.

Moreover, we as Muslims have the responsibility to share the teachings of Islam with the followers of other faiths. IIU provides opportunities to non-Muslims to know and learn more about Islam. We invite your attention to this worthy cause and ask your moral and material support.
